I am a nurse educator and nurse clinician. My primary work focuses on helping grieving clients make healthy adjustments. I have a certification in Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing. I also hold a certification in Thanatology (Death, Dying, and Bereavement). I continue to garner praise for my article, "The Holiday Blues," published in The Fayetteville Observer. My method to help young adults build healthy relationships is a cherished accomplishment.

I also help students understand a variety of subjects. Courses I have facilitated include Community Health Nursing, Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing, and Nursing Research. I developed the first Loss and Grief course at Fayetteville State University. I have taught both undergraduate and graduate students. In addition to grief support, I provide relationship coaching and relationship workshops.

My dissertation at Capella University centered on the experience of bereaved college students. I earned my Master's in Community Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Hampton University. I also earned a Master’s in Counseling from North Carolina Central University. I am a member of the American Nurses Association and the American Psychiatric Nurses Association. I am also a member of the Association of Death Education and Counseling.
